SecurePIM allows iOS devices to securely synchronize with data on the operator's backend. SecurePIM provides a data synchronization service in the form of an app that connects through a TLS tunnel to the appropriate servers in the operator's backend (end-to-end secure). It is assumed that the backend is approved for storing and processing information classified NATO RESTRICTED.

The SecurePIM app offers the following features, among others:
·       Synchronization of emails, contacts, calendar, notes and tasks
·       Upload and download of documents to/from file shares
·       Local editing of synchronized data on the iOS end device
·       Secure Photo: photo management within the secure container

Data in transit between the servers and the mobile iOS clients in public networks is encrypted using certificate-based encryption. The data stored on the mobile device is also encrypted using certificates (secure data at rest).

The SecurePIM app is configured and managed centrally by the SecurePIM Government Management Portal (SMP).
