The COMP@N-Z system consist of H09-Z/1 handheld Software Defined Radio (SDR), Radio Network Planning System (Polish acronym - SPSR) and the Cryptographic Data Management and Generation System (Polish acronym - SZGDK).
The main component of the system is H09-Z/1 - handheld SDR operating within the 30–520 MHz band, delivering up to 5 W output power (extendable to 50 W when paired with an external amplifier). It utilizes MANET and W2FH (EPM-class) waveforms, with frequency hopping, anti-jamming, radio silence and LPD/LPI features.
Designed for modern tactical and operational needs, the H09-Z/1 enables simultaneous voice and data transmission (including IP communication and Situational Awareness features). The system supports both UNCLASSIFIED and CLASSIFIED operation modes, incorporating advanced data and voice protection mechanisms compliant with NATO Restricted security classification. The radio integrates comprehensive COMSEC, NETSEC, and TRANSEC protection suites.
For secure user data transmission, it employs interoperable encryption protocols - STaC-IS (in accordance with STANAG 5068) for voice communication and NINE (in accordance with STANAG 4787) for IP data transfer. The implemented COMSEC keys (STaC-IS and NINE) are fully compliant with EKMS 308 standards.
The SPSR provides a tool for organization and planning of communication within command and cooperation networks, down from the brigade level.
The SZGDK is responsible for initialization and personalization of radio, generation and preparation of cryptographic data, and management of the radio's lifecycle. The COMP@N-Z system forming a comprehensive and fully integrated communication solution ready to deploy in tactical scenarios. Regarding environmental guidelines and testing, products are compliant with: - Polish Standards NO-06-A200:2012, NO-06-A500:2012 based on MIL-STD 461F, - Polish Standards NO-06-A103:2021 and NO-06-A107:2021, - MIL-STD 810H for SZGDK laptop/workstation.
