Blancco Drive Eraser 6 (hereinafter referred to as “the product”) is a software disk erasure product, and has been designed and implemented for the x86 architecture.  The product’s main function is to perform hardware detection on a host computer, display a list of available storage device(s) to the user, and erase selected target devices according to a chosen erasure standard.  The product also prepares a report that can be generated after the erasure process. That report contains detailed information about the erasure, including timing information, details about hidden areas, remapped sectors and a list of any problems encountered during the erasure.
